Does the tag need a battery?
No. It is a passive NFC tag.
Is it a GPS tracker?
No. It does not report location, and it does not replace a microchip.
What does the phone show?
A compatible phone opens your pet's page, or shows a notification you tap to open it. It does not happen automatically on every phone.
Does a finder need an account?
No.
Can I change my phone number later?
Yes. The web address on the tag stays the same.
What do I pay?
On this website the first year is £9.99 and includes one tag. After that it is £5.99 a year. Postage is separate and is not included unless it is shown at checkout.
Do I get a new tag each year?
No. The tag is supplied once.
What if I bought it on Etsy or eBay?
Your first year is already included. WaggyTag does not take an automatic renewal from a marketplace purchase. We will not move that purchase onto another payment service unless you give a separate authorisation.
What if my membership expires?
The last contact details you authorised can still be shown, with a short note that the service is due for renewal, unless you have switched that off.
